Hi there!  We are Steve and Kathy Cole, ISR Instructors serving Lee county and the surrounding area.

A little background on us...We met in March of 1993 while working at Walt Disney World!  We have been married for 28 years and we have two children who are 27 and 22.  Our 22-year-old daughter was an ISR student in Central FL in 2002, and we both became huge advocates of the ISR program at that time after watching her go through the initial process and then refresher lessons the following year.

Upon relocating to Ft Myers, in 2007, Kathy became an ISR instructor after realizing a huge need for the program in this area.

Kathy's background includes a BA in Psychology from Rollins College as well as an MS in Health Services Administration from UCF.  She became a Master Instructor in 2012 and has trained 42 ISR Instructors to date, one of those being her husband, Steve!  In 2018, she was selected by ISR to become a Senior Master Instructor Candidate which means she now additionally serves to mentor and develop future Master Instructors as well as recertify current ISR instructors yearly.  In Feburary of 2023, she supervised her first Master Instructor training in Delaware and now she is a Senior Master Instructor.

Steve wanted to become an ISR Instructor for many years and was thrilled to realize this dream when he trained in Summer 2019.  Steve's background involves many years in sales and sales management, a great deal of this time spent working in the jewelry industry.  He is happy to hang up his business suits in exchange for bathing suits!  He loves working with kids and is a big kid himself.  He has taught over 400 ISR students over the past few years, and he looks forward to teaching many more in 2023.

Both Steve and Kathy maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED.  We are passionate about teaching ISR Self-Rescue skills, and there is nothing more rewarding than making a difference in the life of a child.  The confidence we see grow in our students throughout lessons always makes us smile.

Infant Swimming Resource is an extremely effective drowning prevention program and we are honored to be part of a team of individuals whose mission it is to keep babies and children safe in and around the water by teaching them to be aquatic problem-solvers.  Our children are so precious to us and it is our job as parents to be diligent in keeping them safe.  We look forward to working with each of your little ones and teaching them a love for the water as well as very necessary swimming and self-rescue skills!
